A delegation led by the Chairman of the Standing Committee, Honorable Ato Gatsou, visited Addis Ababa Tegbare-Ede Polytechnic College today and conducted a field visit.
In the program, the Addis Ababa Tebbared Polytechnic College Academic Commission and Management members were present. The activities and services provided in the capacity building sector, the result-oriented education and training sector, and the technology development and industrial extension sector during the first 6 months of the fiscal year were presented by the Dean of the college, Ato Tesfaye Admasu. The members of the council emphasized that the report presented is a starting point for the field observation and an indicator of the college's activities.
The members of the council's Trade, Industry and Tourism Affairs Standing Committee expressed their gratitude for the presentation and stated that most of the checklists they had for the field observation were included in the report and that there were good work activities, and they would confirm them in the field observation. Among the members, the Chairman of the Standing Committee, Honorable Ato Gatwech Warne, They presented their opinions and questions. In terms of increasing the trainee intake capacity, in terms of making the campus attractive and attractive, in terms of helping trainees with low payment capacity to use income-generating methods, in terms of measuring and knowing the level of customer satisfaction, in terms of establishing and implementing an enterprise to help them meet their own expenses, among the issues they raised.
Ato Tesfaye Admasu respectfully accepted the ideas and comments raised by the members of the Standing Committee and gave an explanation of what the college should take and what it should take. Then, Honorable Ms. Dagmawit Girma, Head of the Office, Addis Ababa Employment and Skills Bureau, Outcome-Based Training and Institutional Development Sector, provided additional explanations.
The members of the Monitoring and Support Committee then concluded their field visit by visiting the Deans’ Office, which is currently undergoing renovation, the renovated Registrar’s Office, the college’s main gate and trainee cafeteria, the garment training workshop, and finally the biomedical and legal meteorology training area. Taking this opportunity, the Dean of the College, Ato Tesfaye Admasu, presented to the members of the council, in addition to the college and the Addis Ababa Employment and Skills Bureau, the challenges that the standing committee is facing, including the delivery and defects of the G7 building, the issues that are causing environmental pollution, and the lack of training resources, and the lack of time to complete the automotive technology resources that the system does not allow. The day's program concluded with the members of the council promising that they would do their part to solve the problem.
