On The Occasion Of World AIDS Day, The College Clinic In Collaboration With GIZ Provided An Awareness Training To GIZ Trainees.

The GIZ coordinator who provided the training, Ms. Bacchu, presented a document on what HIV is, HIV AIDS prevention and transmission methods on the occasion of the 38th World AIDS Day, which is being celebrated in our country for the 37th time.

Following this, Sister Tagist Abiyneh, the college clinic coordinator, provided an explanation and understanding on the document.

Sister Tagist added that the trainees can come to the clinic when they need counseling and medical services and can be referred to another health facility if they are unable to do so.

Finally, mental health /Mental Health/, said Ms. Sebtle Evangel Tesfaye, the college’s Vocational Guidance and Counseling Liaison Officer

Mental health is defined by our thoughts, feelings and actions, which is how we handle stress, how we interact with other people and how we make decisions.

Psychological First Aid

is a humane, practical support for people who are stressed after a crisis (e.g. conflict, accidents).

The main objectives of the training are to understand the concept of mental health, understand the basics of psychological first aid, identify signs of stress in trainees and staff, and to promote psychological well-being in our college.
